Jon Goldwin has been publishing cold atoms research for 10 years, including articles in Physical Review Letters and Nature Communications, with over 350 total citations. Work at Imperial College, London, in the Centre for Cold Matter (CCM) investigated the development of integrated micro-optics for use on atom chips. The highlight of this work was the demonstration of fast cavity-enhanced atom detection with single-atom sensitivity using micro-fabricated silicon mirrors with direct waveguide coupling. He maintains active collaborations with CCM and the University College London, studying light-matter interactions and quantum technologies.
